Canon PowerShot Digital Camera [G7 X Mark II] with Wi-Fi & NFC, LCD Screen, and 1-inch Sensor – Black
This is my NEXT camera. Right now, I have the Canon Rebel, which I love although it does get heavy and the carrying case is far too bulky. When you’re walking/sightseeing/ commuting all the time, it can be a pain. I often end up leaving my Rebel in the room and just use my phone. This one is a little more than my rebel, but you get the same amazing quality (and bluetooth!) without the weight. It’s also been recommended by some of my favorite travel bloggers.
Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera Bundle with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 is II Lens + 2pc SanDisk 32GB Memory Cards + Accessory Kit
As my current camera, I have to say, I do like this one the best, probably because I’ve spent the most time using it. The picture quality is fantastic and I can easily move my images to my phone or computer using the bluetooth function. The carrying case does take up a lot of space in my backpack. After a while, I also noticed the weight, of the actual camera around my neck so I have to leave it behind when exploring for extended periods or when I knew I’d be walking a lot.
GoPro HERO7 Black Camera + Extra Rechargeable Battery + PNY Elite-X 32GB U3 microSDHC Card (Bundle) – Waterproof Digital Action Camera Touch Screen 4K HD Video 12MP Photos Live Streaming Stabilization
An essential tool for any true adventurer, the GoPro Hero 7 is the newest version of this popular camera. It’s waterproof, durable, lightweight, and easy to use. The battery life isn’t fantastic, which is why I recommend this bundle which includes the extra rechargeable battery. This device is full of features. Whether you’re shooting 4k videos, time lapse video or 10MP photos, you can expect vibrant images. Burst mode is a fantastic bonus, allowing you to take 15 photos in one second.
Mophie Powerstation Wireless External Battery Charger for Qi Enabled Smartphones (iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X , Note 8, GS8, and GS8 Plus) and mophie Charge Force Cases – Black
Wireless charging on the go? Yes, please! No carrying extra extra wires. Use the USB ports to charge other devices while your phone charges wirelessly. When it’s plugged in, it charges other devices first, then take a charge itself. So, you don’t need extra outlets to charge everything. Plug it all in when before bed and by the time you wake up, everything is ready to go!
Wire – free, and easily portable, these will be your best “bud” throughout your trip. There are many varieties which come in a wide range of prices. I’d stay middle of the road price-wise, but definitely get a pair that comes with the charging case. When you’re traveling they’ll be protected and easier to pack.

I love this because it works just about everywhere (224 countries), has 4 ports, so multiple devices charge at once AND it’s a fast charger! Which is important when your layover is brief or you’re trying to juice up while stopping for a quick bite.

How cool is this tower? It’s the first tower with surge protection, wireless charging and six outlets. We’ve always taken a power strip with us when we travel because there are never enough outlets that we can actually reach. This lets us safely charge all devices in one place.
Sketchers are my go to walking shoe, just like UGGS are my go to walking boot. For whatever reason, for me, nothing else is comfortable. I am not an affiliate of Sketchers (yet!). I just really love the brand. They’re affordable, there are tons of color options and seriously the only shoes that I can walk in without hip, knee or foot pain.
Vionic Women’s Cosmic Codie Metallic Slip-On Sneaker – Ladies Casual Walking Shoes with Concealed Orthotic Arch Support Black
Pricer, but recommended by many, including Oprah and Travel + Leisure, these walking shoes have great reviews. Vionoic works with orthopedic doctors to design their shoes, so they know a thing or two about making comfy shoes.
Uggs aren’t usually advertised as “walking” shoes, I know. I live in my UGGS all winter. As a teacher on her feet all day, they saved me from being in serious pain. They are also luxuriously warm and cozy. From field trips to excursions, I wear my UGGS. I even keep an emergency pair in my car for those times (before knew better) when I tried to wear shoes for fashion rather than comfort.
Great for a short trip or to lighten the load of your checked bag, this carry on delivers. It’s sturdy, roomy and filled with little features travelers love. Some of the must have features include a charger port, strategically placed wheels to eliminate tipping and a clear toiletry bag. This bag is definitely worth the investment.
Smoothly rolling through the airport is a beautiful thing. This bag does just that, and more. You can choose from multiple sizes to fit your needs and the price is comparable to other quality luggage brands. I have the hunter green color, which I don’t think is available anymore, but I like the blue alternative. Colored, unique bags are much easier to spot when they crawl around the baggage claim carousel at the airport.
High Sierra Elite TSA-Friendly Laptop Backpack – Ideal for High School and College Students – Fits Most 17-inch Laptop Models, Black
When heading out for a day tour or excursion, this is the bag I take.
It’s my go to gear. You’ll find that most travelers recommend Osprey or The North Face or similar brands. I have taken my High Sierra everywhere and zippers, compartments, fabric – all that make up the structure of the bag are solid and flawless and it was lighter on my wallet than some of the other brands. My Laptop + iPad fit perfectly when I need to take them along. A special zipper over the heavily padded laptop sleeve provides quick access when going through airport security. This is the perfect travel bag. It’s comfortable to wear, holds everything, has lots of easy access pockets, and fits under the seat in any airplane.

Brian gets seasick but we really enjoy taking a cruise once in a while. Sea Band makes it possible for him to feel normal so he can enjoy the trip. It works for sea sickness, car sickness, and even morning sickness.

Valkee Human Charger – Safe, Portable, and Fast Natural Light Therapy Solution for Jet Lag or Winter Blues
Charging our devices always seems to be a priority, but what about charging ourselves? When traveling, early flights, long layovers can leave a person utterly exhausted. This handy gadget can help. Using natural light therapy, it gives you the recharge you need so you can enjoy your trip.
Keep your important items safely stored in the hidden pocket of an Infinity zipper pocket travel scarf. Advertised to protect your stuff, they’re also great for a quick shopping trip when you don’t want to lug around your purse or carry a wallet. There are several colors and styles to chose from, so you’ll definitely find one to pair with whatever you’re wearing. No longer do I fret over uncomfortably bulky pockets. And, since I usually wear a scarf everywhere I go, anyway, for me, this scarf makes a perfectly practical fashion statement.
One of the greatest inventions yet! For years I’ve had to opt for the fingerless gloves so that I could use my phone in the cold, which always left my digits frozen and blue. When traveling, we use our phones outside even more. These are a must have. These are also available in several colors + styles.
No matter where you go, you’re going to want to bring your sunglasses. These are a great, compact option. So many things can go wrong with sunglasses – they get lost, broken, fall to the bottom of the ocean, fly off your face while zip lining in the jungle – so you may want to bring a few pairs. You also want to have a case for storing them when they’re not being worn.
Everyone needs a floppy beach hat. Not only are they cute, they also provide much needed protection from the harmful rays of the sun. Several varieties are available and most of them are made for travel, so they’re easy to pack.
Winter hats come in all kinds of styles, colors sizes. The sky is the limit! The two important factors I look for are that they’re warm and my ears are covered.
A 3-in-1 jacket is great for travel because it’s easily packable and the variety provides warmth for any sort of weather. The North Face offers some really great options and they’re known for quality.
Keeping a travel journal helps to preserve the precious memories and feelings, organize your thoughts ,and collect your impressions of a place and the things you want to remember—the destinations, hotels, restaurants, and people. There are several styles available. The one pictured is a blank slate. Draw pictures, jot down notes, organize it however you wish. You may also chose a version which accommodates everything from planning to unpacking. Clicking the picture will open the link to a page with tons of options for you to peruse at your leisure.
